Yeah, this is definitely a very rewatchable episode! I still love the moments we got establishing the characters, but I too am curious if that will be a missed opportunity to put the main characters together.
I definitely want to know how closely they're gonna follow the comics when it comes to Isaiah and the other men who were experimented on. I wouldn't mind a flashback of that fight with the Winter Soldier either.
So, I was relieved when it turned out he was running out on his high school football field. I was really turned off when I thought the US Gov't/NFL were making a super spectacle of him and he would be eating up that limelight. He seemed humble enough, but then he stepped in it every time he spoke to Sam or Bucky. I made the mistake at first of being very willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and then realized that was a very wrong thing to do with the evidence the show has given us. This dude now has a lot of work to prove he's not an asshole, if that's something he can prove.
