I hadn't heard of that Goddard tweet but I so agree with that point. For example Kenobi was so clearly adapted from a film to its great detriment.
It was indeed interesting to see the payoff at the end for all the elements of the story. And the fact that the ending was open ended and not neatly resolved was also a plus.
