Yeah, I kind of feel like Tony has gotten endless replays despite the far worse damage he’s done and the less said about Clint’s arc in the MCU, the better.
Also, my eyes started rolling out of my head at the dismissive assertion that Feige refused ‘kill his darlings,’ which might very well be, but the canon we're drawing from NEVER kills their darlings (and except Uncle Ben, rip.) Keeping them spinning was how sitcoms are, in essence, mainstream and lowbrow (again, as compared to the highbrow, checks notes, uh, again, comics (and the super-hero variety, at that.) And really, the piéce de résistance, is how now, after ~20 movies in the series, what it really boils down to is that the X-Men will never be done right. NEVER. IT’S ALL WRONG, THEY DID IT WRONG AND THEY’RE WRONNNNNGGGG.
I paraphrase, obvs (but less than you’d think.)
We haven’t finished Wanda’s story—-she’s only just begun to figure out what to do with things and I agree, she’s not presented as an unambiguous hero and frankly, she has a much lower body count than most of the people she’s working with.
