Sooo, the new suit - overall yes, but 2 nos: I've never been a fan of shoulder pads and that headpiece weirds me out. I know, cutouts are trendy, but it just looks weird to have so much of his head covered, but leave the top open. That it's connected to the rest of the suit seems to restrict Sam's head movements a bit.
Sam embraces his new title! \o/ Ahaha, even that politics guy thinks old Cap is on the moon. Would be hilarious if it turned out that Steve really is in space. Maybe on the same ship as Fury. Okay, but really, how did a such a well-known person as Steve manage to live undisturbed for decades? Especially since he was with Peggy! It's just a suspicious combo. Did she just claim she met someone who happens to look like Steve and that's why she fell in love with him? And what alias did he use, Roger Stevens?
I like Bucky using his assassin experience to try to talk Karli out of murdering the GRC people.
Sharon offed one of the Flag Smashers with mercury vapor and I can't help take that personally. In WandaVision we wanted Quicksilver, but didn't really get him (at least that's what they claim), in F&WS nobody asked for any quicksilver, but we get a face-melting (I was happier before I noticed that, ew) chemical weapon anyway. ...Wait a fucking minute! Sharon's victim's name was Lennox. I thought I was just seeing things because I'm biased, but they put a Lennox and quicksilver together, that can't just be a coincidence! That has to be some sort of reference to X-Men. I mean, Quicksilver's best scene was set to a Eurythmics (Annie Lennox) song. Am I reaching? Is this what going nuts feels like?
I'm very amused by Batroc kicking a chair against the approaching shield. That chair seems to have survived, huh. Whoa, Batroc dares to do a 3-point landing. Excuse me, Mr. Villain, this is not for you!
Huh, what a relief that the Flag Smashers didn't mean to kill the GRC people. But disrupting voting is still creepily close to real life. Though at least the Flag Smashers have a worthy cause. Dovich and Karli's other disciples still don't like the group's new tactics, but still nobody says anything. Ugh, come on, guys.
I thought Sam rescuing the officers from their helicopter was cool, but that was quickly outdone by Sam shielding the officer and himself with his wings & the shield from the crashing heli. Fuck yeah!
Bucky shows us how to get a vehicle past one of those street barriers, oh no. Cool stunt though. Smart move by Karli to distract him by giving him people to rescue. Aw, someone thanks Bucky.
"Boy, you just earned this ass whooping!" XD Love Sam's teamwork with the aviation-trained Philippines representative!
Oh wow, Walker actually did something right and decided to rescue the truck full of hostages from falling into the building pit instead of going after Karli! And I thought he'd get into Sam & Bucky's way!
I thought the truck's back wheels got caught on a beam, but no, it's new Cap to the rescue - Bucky smiles, people cheer and one guy in the crowd acknowledges him as Captain America. Fuck yeah!
And then Karli confirms that Sharon is the Power Broker. I really expected better from the woman who quoted her aunt's "plant yourself like a tree" line. Yeah, I know, you can't expect people to be like their relatives. On the other hand, maybe it's just an imposter! Hope springs eternal.
Haha, Bucky caught Flag Smashers via their app! Gotta love it.
Meh, Karli really lost it. She keeps provoking Sam, but his refusal to fight her only provokes her into pointing a gun at him. Would she really have shot or do I have to be grateful to Sharon the Power Broker for saving Sam's life? I'm glad she was helpful to Sam & Bucky, but why? What are her goals?? She still has to have some sort of ideology.
That reporter asking what Sam's title is now! Captain Falcon, heh. Allow me to suggest Captain Samerica. :oP
Sam actually invokes the Your Terrorists Are Our Freedom Fighters trope. Aw yeah, he's talking with the GRC people and the news crews are there to capture it. There we have Sam using his opinion-swaying powers! I wish I knew what the Indian representative is trying to say. Settlements happened 5 years ago and she asks if it's fair for governments to have to support those people. I remember her as being supportive in the previous episode, so that's the first thing that confused me. And why would a government that invited people just stop supporting them? ...Okay, never mind, just remembered the UK's Windrush scandal. Though at least that happened decades later. "I'm a black man carrying the stars and stripes - what don't I understand?" Right in the feels! Looks like it hit Bucky there too. "The only power I have is that I believe we can do better." ♥
Walker comes off as likable here, which weirds me out so much. What, he did one thing right and we're supposed to forgive him? Or is that supposed to demonstrate once again how fucked up the system is?
"Nice job, Cap." N'aaaaawwwww! ♥
Holy shit, I knew the Raft wasn't a safe enough place for Zemo! Of course he'd still be able to scheme from there. And that's one hell of a loyal butler, if he'll do the murdering for you! I'm confused by the radio report Zemo listens to. It says 4 Flag Smashers were killed in the truck bomb, but there were only 3 there. The last one was presumably just getting fished out of the river by Sam. So is that one still alive or not?
I'm disappointed that we are shown only one case of Bucky getting all the names off his list. While I'm glad that he is making progress, off-camera progress is very unsatisfying! Is he completely fine now or is he only done with Dr. Raynor, because he finished his list? I'm glad that we see Mr. Nakajima in the restaurant, so I guess from that we can infer that Bucky's confession did help him or at least didn't get him all depressed. And can I assume that look between Leah and Bucky was a goodbye? Or was she telling Bucky with that that Mr. Nakajima is okay?
Ha, I was too distracted by Isaiah handling the kohlrabi that I failed to catch what he was saying about the GRC at first.
I'm torn between moved and confused. Isaiah gets acknowledged in the Captain-America exhibition, yay. But didn't he want to remain anonymous?!
Hee, Bucky being silly with the kids! He should just move down there.
"Captain America and the Winter Soldier" awwww! But what does that mean for Bucky? That he's still not okay? That his hero journey isn't finished yet?

Is Val supposed to be annoying?
She says that things are about to get weird and I can only assume that this is a reference to the Secret Invasion. The thought of that show makes me a bit anxious. The mindfucking paranoia! And I'm already speculating, argh! Curse you, MCU and your unbearable vastness!
Aw, look at how proud Mrs. Walker is of her still-a-killer-for-no-good-reason husband, it's almost cute. I wonder what her first name is. Until I find out, I shall think of her as Padmé.

Oh shit, Sharon gets back into her old job.
