To me this episode was a standout compared to most of the others this season, though that's damning with faint praise. I felt like this was watchable rather than tedious, even if in terms of plot development there's not much forward movement. We even had a canonical character's demise.
But overall I've been feeling like all these guest starring appearances from other characters is meant to inject some interest into a show whose main characters just aren't interesting.
