Things definitely took off in this episode, and it was very satisfying to see Bix begin to take action. I agree that losing Cinta so soon seems a waste, I'd have preferred to see it happen to Vel instead were it to happen at all. That said, I can see why it was Cinta.

For starters she's always been more of a cipher so plotwise the show loses less. This seems to have been deliberate in that we don't understand any more than Vel why Cinta took the actions she did. However there's no reason this had to be the case. Had she lived we could have finally gotten to know her better, though given we're already in episode 6 the time for that is limited.

Secondly, had Vel been the one to disappear this would have caused far more trouble given her family connections. Without knowing where else the season will go, it's hard to say at the moment whether that would have been a good or bad thing plotwise. But it is rather frustrating that of the characters killed so far (and there have been a fair few already) Cinta has been the least understood.
