I'm wondering if the original rumors about the guy playing Pietro actually being cast as Mephisto are still accurate -- he could be taking that form to do the whole Minimoffs soul shards thing and maybe the fact that they were able to get actual Sony!Pietro was just lucky stunt casting? [Especially since they can't use the words Mutant or X-Men until Sony gives it up.] Given his "dead husband" and "snooper" lines it seems like he has consciousness and agency.
If the twins are all the way gone I am going to be SO MAD because I want my Young Avengers, and we know for sure we are getting Kate and America, and some of the teaser for Falcon and the Winter Solider implies that maybe we could get the Eli Bradley backstory and therefore Patriot.
Is calling them "Minimoffs" a thing, did you come up with it yourself or did you take it from my review? I'd be so amused if it was one of the former two and I just happened upon a thing. XD
I'd be so disappointed if bringing Evan Peters into the MCU turned out to be just stunt casting. I'll keep thinking he's our X-Man until they prove me wrong. And I think the consciousness about this world isn't his own, that he gets it from Agatha.
The show can't end all depressing. Wanda won't get her parents or her Pietro back, so either the Minimoffs (I know it's weird to be confused by "twins", since Pietro is gone, that Peter isn't a twin and thus the word can only refer to the kids, but I can't help it) or Vision will survive, maybe even all 3. I was about to say that it would be weird for Disney to kill off their chance of some fresh Avengers, but if they're doing the multiverse, they can get rid of anyone they like and just bring in versions from another dimension, if they want to.
I haven't seen Minimoffs before, it's just so incredibly apt. :)
My SO corrected me and Disney got the Xmen properties back in the last couple of years, so keeping "Peter" might actually be a thing! It will be interesting to see how they drift the character into the less 4color vibe the Disney movies use. It's perfect for sitcom-land.
I don't know how on earth they'll wrap all this up in 2 episodes
Was that the same agreement where they sorted out their differences with Sony about another Peter?
Since I'm assuming WandaVision!Pietro is the exact Peter from the X-Men movies (and they wouldn't just blow up that world or some such - especially off screen), he'll have his own life to get back to. He and Wanda might get to meet up occasionally though, that would be nice.
Two episodes does sound short to wrap it all up, what if there are some threads left hanging? Maybe Peter is stuck in that dimension and Wanda trying to get him home is what starts off the Dr. Strange multiverse movie.
